Tell us a little about yourself!
Hello I am TomCat Quinn Khrystian aka Tommy. I am located in Tulsa, Ok but have been seen in surrounding towns and states. I have competed and recently gained the Title of Mister Arkansas USofA MI Classic. I love music of all types and though mainly seen doing rock type of numbers (the darker the better) I also can be seen dabbling in comedy numbers and what ever else inspires me. I am a member of the largest drag family in the Tulsa area, The family Khrystian and am inspired by many talents around me. I love to share my love and passion in my art and try to encourage others to follow their dreams.
What attracted you to drag?
I have been performing in one way or another since I was a toddler within the arts of Dance, Sideshow, Acting, and Diva performance. I learned a lot about stage make up in general over all those years. When I began performing with the drag community, I was always impressed in the talents of Drag Queens until I saw my first Drag King by the name of King Mykal Khrystian (Now, is my Drag Father)…I found myself fascinated. It was right up my ally of the art of Illusion (stemming from my years in sideshow). I began performing as the female counterpart to my drag kings friends until I was challenged to try my hand in it. Once I finally debuted myself as a drag king I was totally hooked!!
How long have you been doing drag?
August 14th 2018 will make it 3 years as a Drag King
Do you have a lot of support?
YES! I have many friends, family and a HUGE drag family. I also gained many brothers and sisters through the USofA pageant system.
How would you describe your drag style?
TomCat is mostly viewed as a rocker style, also often has the reputation as the Steampunk King. However, I try hard to not leave myself limited. I Have been known to dabble in more than one style including comedy.
Who did you/do you look up to?
Oh, so many kings I have met that I look up too! It’s really hard to narrow this response down. My Drag Father, King Mykal Khrystian, Damian Matrix, Ivory Onyx, Landyn Cider, Spikey Van Dykey are to name a few. If there is a king that I can learn something new from, I add them to my list of Kings to look up too!
What are your biggest accomplishments in and out of drag?
I would definitely say that my biggest accomplishments in drag is when my career really started launching off after winning my first title (just a local bar title at the time) Prince of Stonewall then followed by my first state competition, I managed to catch the eye of a drag family that I looked up to majorly and was asked to become their son. Not long after that I won my first state title crown of Mister Arkansas USofA MI Classic.
My accomplishment out of drag would be my awards earned during my acting life and of course later, my beautiful daughter.

Favorite catch phrase?
My recent catch phrase is actually a hashtag that I created with a fellow king I became buddies with in Arkansas who also performs with longer hair. #longhairdontcarekings
Do you regularly preform somewhere? When can people catch you preforming?
Sadly, the two main venues I was performing in Tulsa, Ok closed their doors..but I can still be found hopping around between Club Majestic in Tulsa and on and off at Club Triniti in Little Rock, Arkansas and Club Rumors in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I am working diligently on adding more clubs to my list.
Would you like Drag to be a full time career?
That would be amazing…who knows where the future may lead.
How different is it from your every day job?
VERY! Lol. In my every day job, I work in management at a restaurant. I also have side project jobs that include my wedding ministry and traveling face and body paint booth during festival season.
What’s your favorite performance you’ve done? (Provide a link to video if you have it)
Oh man! That one is a hard one to narrow down. Over time, I found myself LOVING some of the songs I have done.
What advice do you have for drag artists that are just starting out?
Be true to yourself. All drag is valid and my favorite, NEVER let anyone dull your sparkle!
What should we expect to see from you in the future?
Hopefully I will continue to be seen climbing up the pageant ladder and gain a national title, but in the meantime, watch for me!
Thanks so much to TomCat for being so awesome and being the first one out of the gate to post up an interview. You can expect many more to come in the near future from more drag performers around the world!
